Vikings Host Seahawks NFL Betting Preview
Aug 26th
After being defeated by the Niners, the Minnesota Vikings are set to fight against the Seattle Seahawks this Saturday, 28th of August in their home field, Mall of America Field. The Vikings are set to make a comeback after being down by 5 points in their previous game with the Niners. The question is, can they make it without Sidney Rice and Percy Harvin?
Sidney Rice has undergone hip surgery last Monday and is probable to be absent half of the entire season. Meanwhile, Percy Harvin has hardly joined practices after collapsing down due to migraines. Brett Favre is regaining the strength of the team and envisioning a play that no matter who is in there, they ought to play the same way. He strongly believes that what happened to them last season will still happen to them now. In an interview, Favre strongly expressed that “Without Sidney, it sure makes it tougher,” and thinks that maybe another guy will come out and step up to do what Sidney can do. Sidney is set to recover and will miss half of the season.
Meanwhile, on their game against the Seattle Seahawks, Favre is so positive that they can make it and will play the same way as they did the last season. So bettors watch out for the Vikings is positive to cover all the spreads and odds set on them.
FAVRE’s INDECISION: TO PLAY OR NOT TO PLAY IN THE 20th NFL SEASON
Jul 22nd
Minnesota Vikings #4 Football Quarterback Brett Lorenzo Favre undergone ankle surgery after being injured in their last game in which they unluckily lost in the overtime. Three surgeries for this 40-year old 19-year veteran football player definitely mean a lot of changes physically.
In no more than two months time before the start of the 20th NFL season, rumours are coming out from every corner of football world if he will still take part on the season. Recent meeting with Viking’s coach, Brad Childress, has not concluded if it is a YES or a NO. Due to his indecision until now, an agent of Men’s Journal referred him as a “DRAMA QUEEN” (Bus Cook), in which he reacted as not true. Things are not just in his decision. He still has to get back into his shape and nobody knows what Favre will do.
His decision is definitely not just a thing that his fans are after. Different sportsbook has already lay odds (future bets) for the spread and the totals in their game with the New Orleans Saints. Handicappers have analyzed Vikings to be the underdog between the two (maybe because he isn’t decided yet). His indecision gives the bettors vague idea on whether to bet on Vikings or not.
In any way, we hope that he can give his final decision before the season starts.

With a reliable and performing line-up that will include National Football League superstar quarterback Brett Favre if he returns for the nth time, the Minnesota Vikings is expected to take the NFC North crown and even the 2010 NFL Super Bowl.
Despite being the odds on favorite, other teams in the NFC North like the Green Bay Packers, the Jay Cutler led Chicago Bears and the rising Detroit Lions can still pull an upset and beat the Vikings in the 2010 NFL Season.
To retain the NFC North crown the Vikings need to always play their A-game against its rivals in the division to avoid an upset.
We here at NFL Week 1 think,
The Lions will finish fourth, but still feel better about themselves.
The Bears will be disappointed with anything less than third place.
The Packers will tie the Vikings, but the Vikings win the division on the tie-breaker.
