The Tennessee Titans survived the scare of losing its top quarterback when it escaped with a 30-3 victory against the home-team Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2010 National Football League season.
Titans veteran quarterback Kerry Collins had a nice game to carry his team to victory against the Jaguars despite losing the team’s starting quarterback Vince Young to injury that same game.
Showing the stuff that made him an NFL star, Collins completed 11 of 16 passes for 110 yards and a touchdown, directed five consecutive scoring drives to carry his team (4-2) atop the AFC South.
Playing in placed of the injured Young, the 37-year-old quarterback was fully focused in the game as he orchestrated the plays of the Titans masterfully that day.
Titans running back Chris Johnson also complemented COllins nice game with a great performance of his own as he  got  111 yards rushing and scoring late in the game to help his team take their lead in their division alongside the Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans.
Titans coach Jeff Fisher lauded the performance of his two stars in the game since it resulted to their victory against the home-team.
Playing in-front of its fans, the Jaguars does its best to battle the Titans toe to toe but disaster also struck on the Jaguars when its starting quarterback David Garrard also got injured in the game.
However, unlike Collins, Trent Edward, the newly acquired Jaguar failed to deliver in the absence of Garrard which lead to their loss.
Luck was also not on the side of Jaguars in the game as they suffered four mistakes in the game that caused their defeat.
With their loss the Jaguars dropped to 3-3 win-loss record and in danger of losing the chance to enter the NFL playoffs and fight for the Super Bowl crown this year.
Despite their predicament, Jaguars coach Jack del Rio is still confident of their chances in the 2010 NFL season saying all they have to do is to limit their mistakes and play much better in their next NFL games.
Fisher for his part is very happy with their victory and chances in the ongoing NFL season since it solidify their chances of entering the NFL playoffs and playing in the Super Bowl this year.

The Tennessee Titans aims for its fourth victory against two defeats when they visit the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2010 National Football League season on October 18.
The game against the Jaguars is a tough test for the Titans since the Jaguars is a tough team and is playing with extra motivation through the support of its fans.
The Titans are also expected to sweat it out against the Jaguars since the home-team holds similar win-loss record like them and like them is also very hungry for a victory.
The game between the Titans and Jaguars is an even-battle wherein any of the team can defeat each other if the luck will be on their side.
The two AFC South teams are focused o winning their game since they want to strengthen further their aim for a slot at the NFL playoffs this year.
The Titans and Jaguars wants to enter the NFL playoffs this year since such a chance eluded them last year.
Playing in-front of its fans give the Jaguars an added boost in its game against the visiting Titans.
Jaguars coach Jack del Rio is confident they will win the game through a strong effort to be given by his reliable running back Maurice Jones-Drew.
Drew is enjoying tremendous success in the 2010 NFL season as he is  tied for eighth in the league with 406 rushing yards, had 84 on 19 carries against Buffalo Bills.
Drew also ran the ball eight times for 177 yards and two touchdowns at Tennessee in November.
Although, the Jaguars is playing inspired in-front of its fans, the Titans can still pull a surprise against them if reliable quarterback Vince Young will once again have an A-game against the home-team.
As the fourth ranked team in terms of scoring at 26.4 points per game, the Titans through the leadership of Young can come up with a win if they will have a hot offence and stone-wall defense against the Jaguars.
Young needs to put the team on his back and carry them to victory against the equally determined Jaguars come Monday night.
