Schobel is Already a Free Agent
Aug 5th
Due to the absence of the Buffalo Bills DE, Aaron Schobel, in the team’s off-season training camp in Rochester and his constant contemplating regarding retirement, Buddy Nix, Bills’ Manager, formally announced that the DE has formally been released and now a free agent.
Rumours regarding Schobel’s possible transfer to another team after 9 solid years of playing for the Bills were diligently justified by the manager. Nix said that if he chose to retire after the release, then it will make him a Buffalo Bills by heart; but if he chooses to continue his career to another team, then they’ll respect it and will think that it is a fair thing to let him have the opportunity to play somewhere else that he wants.
There are three possible teams that they think will be preferred by Schobel should he wish to play to another team, those are Dallas Cowboys, New Orleans and Houston Texans. The most probable is the Texans because the DE was reported that he has sold his Buffalo-home and transferred to Texas with his family. Moreover, Schobel has always been a fan of the Texans.
Schobel, supposedly has still 4 more years to fully serve his contract in Buffalo Bills which he has signed in 2007 as an extension contract with $50.5 million. This season will be the first for the Buffalo Bills after the nine years of Schobel’s playing history. The team has devised a tactic and system to make the season and bets favour to them.

Among the NFL Teams who have expressed their interest over having the Buffalo Bills’ defensive end (DE) player, Aaron Schobel, are the New England Patriots, Seattle Seahawks and Houston Texans.
They have expressed their interest in seeking for Schobel’s performance after being formally released from the Buffalo Bills. However, the now free agent Schobel is not yet decided on whether to retire or continue with his football career on another team. Possibilities on each team having Schobel are now being studied.
New England Patriots: Due to Schobel’s ability on excellently playing either defensive end or line backer and his previous extended contract with the Bills amounting to $50.5 million, the Patriots are thinking that it will take them big money in order to have his performance, according to CSN New Englands, Mike Giardi.
Seattle Seahawks: Although the team is in deep desire of having Schobel, the general manager of the Seahawks, John Schneider, is also thinking of the possibilities that the former Bills’ DE will decline their offer because of personal reasons such as, he and his family now resides in Texas and Bill Kolar’s presence in the team as the now defensive coach, the same job he had for the Bills. Nevertheless, should Schobel wish to join their team, he is likely to replace the retired Patrick Kerney.
Houston Texans: The team that is reported to be likely chosen by Schobel is the Houston Texans. Schobel has been a long time fan of the team, but the possibility for other team’s chance of having him is not yet ruled out.
By the time, Aaron Schobel decides on whether to retire or to play in another team is a much-awaited decision not only for the concerned teams but also for the sportsbooks that sets the odds and bettors wagering and risking their bankroll over the chosen team.
